Although he was the son of James Kemp Hagadorn and Margaret Lorraine (Perryman, Watkins) Hagadorn, he was raised by his mother and his step-father Glenn W. Turner, Jr. and grew up in Southern California.
Throughout his school years he was known as John "Jack" Warren Turner.
As an adult John lived most of his life in Washington State with his wife Sherry (Dyer) Hagadorn.
He passed away at home and his ashes were scattered in one of his favorite camping spots at Preacher's Slough along the Chehalis River Surge Plain, about 4 miles south of Montesano, Washington.
He was the brother of Jimmie Marie (Hagadorn/Turner, Shaleen) Yerton.
