Helge Alpo Volmar Halm was born in Lahti, Paijanne Tavastia, Finland on the 27th of August 1937 as the second child of Eino and Taimi Halm. He had two sisters and the family lived in Niemi, Lahti where Eino worked as a saw worker in the local saw.
Eino and Taimi separated before the 1950's and Helge and his younger sister Birgit stayed with their mother Taimi after the separation and the divorce which was filed in 1958. Helge's elder sister Seija however chose to stay with their father Eino. Helge came along with his mother quite well and rest of his life he either lived with his mother or was in regular contact with her.
Helge Halm was married twice and he had two daughters from the two marriages. Of his profession Helge was a sheet metal worker higly valued in Lahti area. Helge was also very musical and played the quitar well.
Helge Halm died at the age of 71 on the 29th of September 2008 and he was buried to the grave of his mother and grandmother at the Lepo Cemetery, Lahti, Paijanne Tavastia, Finland.
