Anthony Bongers dies at Melcher
Anthony Bongers, long resident of Ottumwa, died suddenly at Melcher, Iowa at ten o'Clock last night, a victim of hemorrhage of the brain. Mr. Bongers was stricken at 5 p.m. and died five hours later. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and two daughters. The family home is at 326 North Hancock Street. Mr. Bongers, who was a carpenter, had been employed at Melcher for the last three years. The body will be brought to Ottumwa and funeral services will be held here, at a time to be announced later. The three sons are John and Herman of Ottumwa, and Leo of Anita., The daughters are Mrs. Edward Collins of Des Moines, and Mrs. W. L. Runnels of Ottumwa.
