White Pigeon: Stanley A. ANTKOWSKI, 90, 206 W. Murray St., died Oct. 30, 1986, at Fountainview Place Health Care Facility, Elkhart, Ind. He had been in failing health for one month.

He was born March 28, 1896, in Posen, Poland, a son of Felix and Constance ANTKOWSKI.

On Dec. 31, 1970, he married Hattie I. Gadson in Three Rivers.

He came to the United States to the South Bend, Ind. area when he was 17 years old and lived most of his life in the Mottville and White Pigeon area. He was a retired lifelong farmer. He had been employed at the White Pigeon Paper Mill; Studebaker Company, South Bend; and Uniroyal, Mishawaka, Ind. He was a member of the St. Josephs Catholic Church, White Pigeon, and a past member of the National Guard in South Bend.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Edna McINERNEY, Three Rivers; one son, Vincent ANTKOWSKI, Cassopolis; two stepdaughters, Dorothy GOUKER, Elkhart, and Margaret ABRAMS, St. Louis, Mo.; three stepsons, Henry GADSON, Granger, Ind., Paul GADSON, Warsaw, Ind., and Carl GADSON, Fort Wayne, Ind.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Frank NOVAK; five brothers and one sister.

Relatives and friends may call after noon Sunday at the Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. A Scripture service is at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Josephs Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Hazard officiating. Burial will be in St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
