Mr. Astling lived in White Pigeon 44 years after moving from Constantine. He was married to Myrtle Schutt in White Pigeon, Dec. 23, 1934.
He was a machinist 24 years at Gray Brothers Machine Shop, and a member of the White Pigeon Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Floyd and Richard; a daughter, Mrs. John (Nancy) Eipperle, Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. James (Lucille) Martineau, Spring Arbor and Mrs. Arlene Brandt, Perry; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30pm at the White Pigeon Cemetery. Rev. Wilber Brandli will officiate. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by the White Pigeon Masonic Lodge.
Friends may call at the Farrand Funeral Home beginning this evening.
