Mr. Tom Pritchett Found Dead Near Home Saturday

W. T. Pritchett, 63, was found dead in some woods near his home in Stranges district last Saturday night. Coroner Willie Lee Smith was called and after impending a jury, a verdict was rendered that Mr. Pritchett came to his death from a heart attack. No. bruises were found, and since he had been suffering from a heart ailment, this seemed the only plausible reason for his death. He had been visiting nearby neighbors where there was illness in the family.
Mr. Pritchett was born in Franklin county and lived his entire life on his father's homeplace. He was married to miss Mary Evie Thomason May 24th 1904. He was a prominent farmer and lived a Christian life, being a member of the Mt. Zion church. He had many friends who are grieved at his sudden passing.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Monday, July 12th with Rev. H. A. King and Rev. Durham officiating.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. F. Wilson, Eastanollee, Mrs. Dayton ward, Ashland, Mrs. J. T. Pritchett, Carnesville, Mrs. H. H. Ausburn, Easley, S.C., Mr. W. C. Pritchett, Ashland. Two brothers, J. W. Pritchett, Ashland, L. F. Pritchett, Ashland, and ten grandchildren also survive.
B. D. Ginn, funeral director, was in charge of arrangements.
