Frederick K. Elder, Jr. died November 25, 2012 in Karnes City, TX. He was born January 10,1930 to Frederick K. and Zona Velma Shepard Elder in Pratt, Kansas, where he spent his childhood.

His parents, sisters Rosalyn Elder and Jessie Covey Wood preceded him in death. "Uncle Freddie" is survived by nieces and nephews: Katy West (husband Clarence) of Leesville, TX; Forrest Covey (wife Linda) of Atchison, Kansas; Johnny Covey (wife Emma) of Humble, TX; Betty Plant of Runge, TX; and Cherry McCarrell (husband Ronnie) of Buda, TX. He also has several great and great great nieces and nephews.

As a young man Fred moved to Anderson, Indiana to attend the Church of God Bible College. While registering, he noticed General Motors was hiring, applied and worked at the Anderson plant of General Motors until his retirement. He lived for a number of years in Anderson then moved to Muncie, Indiana. In his later years he lived in Runge, TX and as his health declined he moved to Karnes City, TX where he went to be with his Lord.
