MARION - Elizabeth I. Allen, 89, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Devotion Gardens Cemetery. The service will be streamed live on the Richardson Funeral Home Facebook page for those unable to attend.
Mrs. Allen was born in the Hamer section of Dillon County, a daughter of the late Wade and Mamie Wiggins Ivey. She is also preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Herman Allen, as well as five brothers and five sisters. She was a member McMillan Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Della Richardson (Sherwood), Debbie Sweitzer, and Dianne Dimmery (Ted) all of Marion, 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
