Norma Mae Forbes, 94, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, in a local nursing home.

She retired as a cook for the Fort Smith School District and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Liberty Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 402, O.E.S. and the Aldersgate Sunday school class. She was a member of the Old Fort Museum.

Funeral was in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.

She is survived by one daughter, Dortha Carney of Fort Smith; and four grandchildren, Billy Carney and Sharon Tidwell, both of Fort Smith, Eugenia Pearson of Greenwood and Linda Dugan of Midland.
