FIRST BODY OF SOLDIER FROM LARUE RETURNED Hodgenville Ky, June 28, 1945
The body of PFC James H. Allen, 36, arrived here today from India where he died in June , 1945.
The first Larue county serviceman to be returned for reburial, Allen died of a tropical disease on June 25, 1945. Before entering the Army in March 1944, Allen was a garage operator at Buffalo, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife , Beatrice Allen one son Jesse Lee Allen his mother and step father Mr. & Mrs. W.H. Able, and three sisters Mrs. Carl Hash , Mrs. Lindsey Beard, and Mrs. Burlin Roark. Funeral will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 2 o'clock tomorrow

This is a cenotaph; his actual remains were removed to Mt. Tabor Church Cem in LaRue Co., KY. I was always told he was buried here by our family , but another Find A Grave member says he is not
