Death of Peter N. Larson
Funeral services for Peter N. 80, were held at the Muehlethaler funeral home Wednesday afternoon August 7. Dennis A. Stutrud of the Elgin Lutheran Church conducted the services. Mr. Larson who had made his home here with his son, Leonard, died at the Fayette county hospital Sunday night. He had been hospitalized the past 19 days.
Peter N. Larson was born Feb. 3, 1877, the son of Lars and Helene Spilde, at Canoe Ridge, north of Decorah.
He was married to Inga Norland in 1901. She passed away in 1905. They had one son, Leonard, and a granddaughter, Lana. He also leaves ten nieces and seven nephews.
Burial was made in the Elgin cemetery.
