Henry Albert Dennis, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1919 in Montgomery Co. to the late Henry Allen and Cora Cranford Dennis. Albert was a veteran of WWII, serving overseas for the United States Army for almost four years under General Patton. He owned and operated a saw mill for many years. Albert was active in church his whole life, serving as a deacon, trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and was the oldest member of Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. He was the youngest of 12 children and his family is the sixth generation of Dennis' which originated in Ireland.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Pendergraft Dennis; seven brothers, Richard, Roy, Beecher, Hobert, Fred, Ted and Arthur Dennis; and four sisters, Libby Hill, Polly Williams, Trilby Hammond, and Iris Hunt.

Surviving are his two daughters, Joyce Biggs and husband, Ralph of Oak Ridge, Linda Parker and husband, Henry of Concord; son, Albert Wayne Dennis and wife, Debbie of Asheboro; eight grandchildren, Brad and Todd Biggs, Kristi Biggs Gallimore, Justin and Lauren Parker, Amy Kato, Nicholas and Caroline Craven; and twelve great- grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Talmadge Williams and Rev. Reece Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery
