DECATUR - Glenn P. Boren, 88, of Decatur, IL, died 1:40 P.M., Monday, January 8, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 11, 2007, at East Park Baptist Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to East Park Baptist Church.
Glenn was born April 24, 1918, in Springfield, IL, the son of Horace and Flossie (Treece) Boren. He married Lexie E. Cavin on April 24, 1940 in Decatur, IL.
Mr. Boren was a 75 year member of East Park Baptist Church. He worked for Meadow Gold Dairy and was Head Security at St. Mary's Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lexie of Decatur, IL; daughter Erma Chatham and husband Dennis of Decatur, IL; granddaughters Kimberly Burns and Melanie Rapp; step granddaughters Kristie Crawford and Pennie Rhodes; 10 great grandchildren; brother Russell Boren of Sullivan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
