He was a native of Richmond, KY, a retired Command Sergeant Major with U.S. Army, where he served in Korea and Vietnam. He was also a retired employee of the Social Security Administration and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Jesup, GA.
Other than his wife, Louise, he is survived by, two sons, Robert L. (Rita) Adams of Camilla, GA, Mark O. Adams of Milledgeville, GA; three daughters, Paulana G. (Donnie) Bryant of Dothan, AL, April D. McGuire of Jesup, GA, Beth T. Ulmer of Douglas, GA; one sister, Margaret Tudor of Huntsville, AL; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Evangeline Mae Vanarsdale and one brother, Russell Adams.
