MONTEREY - The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of St. Joseph for the Dying's last remaining sister has died at the age of 94.

Sr. Agnes was born in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania to Albert Zwolenick and Agnes Sliwa. She was the next to the youngest of 14 children and the last surviving child of Mr. and Mrs. Zwolenick.

Sr. Agnes entered the order at the age of 36 after having served as a governess to two children in New York. She entered the Franciscan Sisters as a teacher at San Carlos School in Monterey where she touched the lives of many generations of children and families.

After her retirement in 1980, she was very involved working with the residents at Ave Maria Convalescent Hospital.
