Gary Anders was born on April 25th, 1949 to Viola Marie Seip and Daniel Leonard Anders in Delta Colorado.

He died on September 12, 2016 at his home in Vernal Utah from cancer.

Gary grew up in a small town of Uravan Colorado.

He attended High School in Nucla Colorado where he was active in basketball. He graduated from Nucla High School in 1967.

Gary attended college in Greeley Colorado.

Gary married Lydia Burghardt on January 8th, 1977. Together they had four children, Daniel Garrett, Lindsey Nicole, Landon D, and Austin Kael.

Gary worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers and worked all over the United States building cross country pipeline. He enjoyed his work and made many friends while working in the pipeline business. Gary also taught pipeline classes for the International Union of Operating Engineers for several years.

More recently he worked as a salesman for Craigs Roustabout Service.

Gary loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed taking long drives on the mountain.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He also enjoyed meeting up with his many friends for a cup of coffee.

Gary had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

Gary is survived by his wife, Lydia; sons, Daniel Garrett (Stacey); Landon D. (Marci), Austin Kael; daughter, Lindsey Nicole Paulk (Nick); Grandchildren, Kalli, Megan, Tyler, Trevor, Maddy, Nicolas, Bella, Beck, Hazel and Grey; Sisters, Sharon Norton, Karen Goddard (Jack), Vickie Montano, Linda Reynolds; and brother, Danny Anders.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 South 2500 East) Vernal, Utah.

Viewings will be Thursday evening from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and at the chapel one hour prior to the services.
