William H. Emmett was raised by his Paternal grandparents, James Trewhella Emmett, and Mary Tippett, in Cornwall, England. Their daughter Elizabeth Jane Emmett was his mother, she was born in Probus, Cornwall England. William had two younger siblings Frederick, and Mary Grace Emmett. Mary Grace married Horace Snell. His mother Elizabeth married John Stephens about 1917, she died April 1951 in Truro, Cornwall, England.

William immigrated on the Olympic the sister ship of the Titanic on April of 1912, he arrived in the port of N.Y., later ending up in Butte, Montana, where he worked at the Anaconda Copper Mine, working as a Copper miner for many years. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry in WWI, became a citizen, traveled to St. Austell, Cornwall, England and married Gladys Honey in 1919, later arriving in the N.Y. on the U.S.S. Lapland in 1920, to join her husband in America. By 1922 they have a daughter Catherine Millicent, 15 days later Gladys dies, and six months later Catherine dies. By 1924 William travels to St. Austell, England and Marries Edith Ann Hambly in June, and by July they are traveling to the U.S. on the Aquatainia, they settled in Nanticoke, PA., where William works as a Coal miner. There first son is born in 1926, William T. and the following year Robert is born. Wm T. and brother Robert and mother travel to Cornwall England and stay for three months, William T. celebrates his second birthday in England. William and Edith later relocated with their children to Butte, Montana, where William works as a Copper miner in the Anaconda Copper mine, they return to PA., settling in Plymouth, PA., by this time they have four additional sons, adding Frederick, Donald, Richard and their youngest son whom is still living, currently their other five sons are deceased(bio created - 9-28-12). William H. continues in the coal mines and retires by 1948, due to suffering from black lung. William died at the age of 61.
