Richard C. Bissett, 77, formerly of Jefferson, died at the Char-Lotte Rest Home, Rock Creek. His death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrrhage. He was born in Cleveland, April 1, 1889. Mr. Bissett was a Hulett operator at Ashtabula Union Dock before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Marie, of Wheeling, W.VA, one daughter, Mrs. Lee (Laurel) Fetters of New Lyme; two sons, William Bissett of Cleveland and Richard C. of Washingtonb, GA.; one step-son, Edward Pickard of Willoughby Hills; and 17 grandchildren. His wife, Minnie (Gould-Pickard) died August 23, 1955. Services were held at the Miller Funeral Home, Jefferson, with Rev Stanley Purdum Cherry Valley Methodist Church, officiating.
