He was from Lavaca County, and went to work at an early age for the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad in Yoakum. In the 1910 census, he was a line foreman working in Houston, and his wife Ida Ann was the cook for the crew. In 1920 he was living in Yoakum, and Ida An had passed away. By 1930 he was back in Houston, and his new wife's name was Margaret. At this point he had changed careers and was an electrician. He died in Houston in 1955.
