Grady M. Alderman -- Four Holes community
Grady M. Alderman, 91, of the Four Holes community, died Friday morning, March 1, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home Chapel, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando, Fla. Burial with full military honors will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Fla.
Mr. Alderman was born July 14, 1921, in Valdosta, Ga., a son of the late Timothy Mitchell Alderman and the late Lillian Irene Wells Alderman., He was retired with 28 years from the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service. He also served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lang Alderman, and a son, Mitchell Alderman.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon and William Maltbie of New York and Kathy and Ronnie Sims of Orangeburg; a son, Grady M. Alderman Jr. of Charleston; a daughter-inlaw, Brenda Alderman of Neeses; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg is handling local arrangements.
