GREGG RITES HELD SUNDAY
Services for Oliver Edmond Gregg, resident of the Hominy area for the past 48 years, were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ilo Watkins, pastor of the Pentocostal Holiness church officiating.
Interment was in the city cemetery under the direction of the Powell Funeral home.
Gregg died at his home on the southwest side of the city near Mullins school last Wednesday morning. He was 65 years of age.
Born at Avenue City, Missouri, October 31, 1886, he came to Oklahoma in 1904 as a young man 18 years of age and settled on a farm near Hominy. He was married to Eunice Owsley at Hominy, January 29, 1911.
He continued to make his home on farms in this area until 1944 when he moved into town and had resided here since that time.
Survivors include his wife and one daughter, Mrs. George Hettenbach of Hominy, five children preceded him in death.
Also surviving are one brother Arthur Gregg of Hominy, one sister, Mrs. Rosie Youtsey of Terlton, two half brothers, Balemus Gregg of Leslie, Arkansas and Wyrick Gregg of Allendale, Missouri and five grandchildren.
