Services for Dorothy L. Taylor, 82, will be Friday, June 1st at 11:00 AM at Central Church of Christ in Ada with Bud Ross officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center where she resided for the past 2 years. She was born August 11, 1918 in Shawnee to Duffy Lewis Brown & Mary Leona Waggoner Brown. She lived in Ada for many years. She married Wesley Taylor July 26, 1937 in Seminole. He died December 29, 1979. She was a longtime member of the Central Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Winton in 1982; twin sons Wesley and Lesley Taylor who died at birth, and one brother Leslie Brown.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Eva & William McCown of Wichita, KS; Judy & Jerry Carroll of Ada; Ann & Phil Biddy of Seminole; one son and daughter-in-law Bob & Ursula Taylor of North Augusta, SC; one brother & sister-in-law Max & Rosa Brown of Tecumseh; one sister, Violet Smith of Wichita, KS. She had nine grandchildren, Mariann Lyda, Tommie Akard, Loretta Woodall, Austin Taylor, Bill McCown, Michelle Yott, Shelly Beers, Lauren & Brent Biddy, and nine great grandchildren.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund, P.O. Box 1463, Ada, OK 74821.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Clinton, H.A. Blackburn, Bennie Cope, Todd Crabtree, Bill Adams and Charles Barrick.
Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
