Our precious Lori, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, passed from her earthly existence due to a tragic river accident in Wyoming, July 1, 1996.

Lori was born on January 6, 1953 in Salt Lake City to Donna Willey Pinder. She was educated in the city schools, graduating with a BS degree from Westminster College. She was appointed in her freshman years as the first student member of the Board of Trustees. She had also completed a year toward a graduate degree.Her life was one dedicated to giving, her family being her firs priority. Also benefiting from her selfless contributions were: Ballet West, Utah Arts Festival; the PTA; students and teachers at Ensign Elementary and Bryant Intermediate. This past year, she devoted her time and gave her heart to the faculty and students at West High School where she served as the volunteer coordinator. Lori was filled with love and compassion for anyone in need, especially the children.

Lori was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Delsa and Marion Willey. She is survived by her beloved mother; her best friend and sister, Pamela Britt; her nephews, Joshua and Justus, whom she loved and raised as a mother; aunt and uncle, Joleen and Don Willey; cousins Shawna Johnson, Duff Willey and Susan Heaton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund in Lori's name has been established by West High School, supported by Ensign Elementary. Those wishing to contribute may send funds to: Salt Lake Education Foundation, c/o Lori Pinder Scholarship, 440 East 100 South, S.L.C., UT 84111.
