Oleta Smith Beasley was named by her father, Evan Wilson Smith Sr, after the author Oleta Littleheart, who wrote the book: The Lure of the Indian Country and A Romance of its Great Resort.

Oleta was the sunshine of our family. She had a great love and devotion to living her life as a follower of Jesus Christ. She is greatly missed.
