Ferdinand first married Jemima Fleming June 8, 1849 in Colorado County, Texas. He married a second time to Francis Ann Lowery July 26, 1853 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Francis was the daughter of James Lowery and Elizabeth Light (Newcomb) Lowery of Delaware. They were the parents of three known children: Lula A.; Charles R. and Lena Alberta Draub.
Their son Charles was born July 2, 1857 and died January 31, 1879. He is most likely the Charles Draub mentioned in the Criminal Case of the State of Texas v. James C. Harbert in 1879 who was charged for Charles' murder. Charles' final resting place is unknown. according to SWM (#48458426)
