Archie Glenn Adams, 57, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at his residence after a brief illness.

Archie was born Aug. 25, 1955, in Catawba County, to the late Fred Lennie and Margaret Lovella Hedrick Adams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Adams; and sisters, Ruby Littlejohn and Barbara Ann Adams.

He was a member of Bright Light Tabernacle and retired from Vanguard Furniture.

Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Davis, of Catawba County; granddaughters, Chloe Davis and Kiara Robinson, both of Catawba County; ex-wife, Wanda Wilson, of Hickory; sisters, Sue Noblitt and husband, Cly-de, of Brookford, Linda Hollar and husband, Jerry, of Conover, Mar-garet York and husband, Pastor Ray York, of Hickory, Shirley Hudson, of Conover, and Della Martin and husband, Charles, of Conover; brothers, Fate Adams and wife, Joyce, of Conover, and Robert Adams and wife, Julie, of Conover; sisters, Debbie Davis, of Conover, and Donna and husband, Carroll Hoyle, of Newton and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, Sept. 6, at 12 noon at Bright Light Tabernacle with Pastor Ray York officiating.

Interment will follow in Conover City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Bright Light Tabernacle, 2777 Highland Ave., NE, Hickory, N. C. 28601. Hickory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
