|Birth: ||May 10, 1825, Germany|
|Death: ||Aug. 26, 1902|
New Jersey, USA
Born in Baden, Germany. Immigrated to US with future husband, Johann Lackner, in 1850, arriving from Germany via Antwerp on 20 Apr 1850 on the Stad Antwerpen. Lived in NYC about 18 years before moving to Jersey City, NJ. Had six known children born in NYC. She was survived by John Mathias Lackner, William Lackner, and Emma Lackner Schedler Trimph. Daughters Anna and Elizabeth are buried here. Son Louis is not with the family in 1880. He may have died younger. There was a Louis Lackner of the right age in Brooklyn, but he seems to have been a member of another family.
It is a mystery who she was living with at the time of her death since she was not living with any of her known family members, but was at 62 South St., Jersey City according to a newspaper obituary. She is not found in the 1900 Census at that address and was not with family members. There is a 1902 death certificate as well as a death notation in family Bible records. Her birth date is from Bible records.
(There is a Christina Speer born 14 Mar 1824 in Baden, daughter of Michael Speer. This is a different woman since there is a record of her marrying in 1853 in Germany.)
