Verna ABRAHAM was the second child of five children born to Charles and Bertha Jane (née SCOTT) ABRAHAM; she was born at home on the family farm in rural Sarpy County (near Gretna), Nebraska. Verna's four siblings were an older sister, Marie Katherine, and three younger siblings who included two brothers, Lowell and Loren, and one unnamed brother who died within days of his birth in 1906. During the 1920's (ca 1926), the Charles and Bertha (née SCOTT) ABRAHAM Family moved from Nebraska to San Pedro, Los Angeles County, California. Prior to moving to California, Charles had been a self-employed Nebraska farmer raising crops and livestock primarily in Douglas County then Sarpy County.
