Phyllis J. Allen formerly of Parma, MI died at the age of 87 on Dec. 24, 2012 in Battle Creek, MI. Phyllis was born on June 29, 1925, in Huntington, IN to Homer and Elsie Bennett. She was a graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, MI. She was married to Lea Edward Allen on Aug. 5, 1944 and was a life long resident of Parma. Phyllis worked at the Jackson research division of the Upjohn Company until her retirement. Phyllis was proceeded in death by her husband, her daughter, Deborah Allen Dilworth and siblings Warren, Gordon, Charlotte, David, Rex, Marianna and Jacqueline. She is survived by one brother Homer Charles(Chuck)Bennett, two sons Gordon Lea Allen and Todd Bennett Allen; son-in-law John Dilworth, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life was held at Hunn Community Room, 100 E. Main St.Parma,MI on Jan. 26, 2013.
