OBITUARY Sunday, DEC 27, 2009:::Furmon Ackelson 80, of Pineville passed away Friday, Dec 18, 2009, at his residence following a short illness. He enjoyed fishing, visiting people, telling stories and being with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vernie Stewart, and three sons, Ronnie, Johnny and Timmy Ackelson. Survivors include two sons, Randall Ackelson and Robert Ackelson both of Pineville. Three daughters Judy Ackelson and Cathy Ackelson both of Virginia Beach, VA. and Kathy Ackelson Hayes of Peterstown; and a grandson, Randall Ackelson Jr.; 23 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Furman's life will be at 1 P.M. Monday Dec 28, 2009, at Calfree Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev Melissa White officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery, Matheny, Wyoming CO, W. Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from noon until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Ackelson was a Baptist.
