Mrs. Anastazia Jilek wife of Joseph W. Jilek, 619 Memorial Dr SE, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 3:25 AM Friday following a lingering illness. Born in Johnson County Aug 15, 1878 the daughter of John and Mary Svoboda, she had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for the last 47 years.
Surviving besides her husband are three children, Mrs. Joseph C Jirouch, Mrs C.R. Miller, and Joseph Jilek, all of Cedar Rapids: four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hlavacek of Conroy, Mrs. Joseph Soukup of Iowa City, Mrs. Anna Carmody and Mrs. Frank Sedlak of Cedar Rapids; a brother Andrew H. Svoboda of Amana, and four grandchildren. A son Richard, and two sisters, Mrs. Filomena Blazej and Mrs. Albia Reha preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at Polansky funeral chapel Monday at a time to be announced later.
