Kennith was a lifetime Peggs, Oklahoma resident having attended grade school there as a kid. He graduated Locust Grove High School as a part of the class of 1964. Soon after graduation, Kennith and Carolyn Rhodes were united in marriage. They spent 30 years together raising 4 children.
Kennith worked as a carpenter and bricklayer. He was a member of the carpenters union as well as the bricklayer union. He also worked in refract for some time. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kennith had a talent for woodworking. He was a hard worker that helped to build many homes, install pools, among countless other tasks.
Kennith enjoyed going camping and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, especially Canasta. He had a passion for riding mules and going packing in the mountains of Colorado. Kennith was also known to enjoy good food. He loved to attend fish frys, hog frys, and other community eating gatherings. Kennith could prepare and smoke some of the best ribs around. He was known and loved by many people. He will be missed and remembered dearly.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; 1 brother: Jeff Wayne Applegate; 1 grandson: David “Buddy” Tomblin; 1 brother-in-law: Bill Burgess; and 1 sister-in-law: Lois Applegate.

Funeral services were held at 2:01 P.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Peggs Community Church. Reverend Henry Fine and Reverend Rex Hendrickson officiated. Interment followed at New Home Cemetery near Peggs, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
