Scarborough - James N. Bodlovick, 76 of Cedar Brook East, died Monday, July 31, 2000, at Mercy Hospital, Portland, ME.

He was born on July 8, 1924, in Stillwater, MN, a son of Nicholas and Florence (Burkhardt) Bodlovick. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1943.

During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the Pacific Rim. He also, was a sportswriter for the Pacific Stars and Stripes newspaper while stationed there.

Mr. Bodlovick began a career with Northeast Airlines in Portland, ME, which later merged with Delta Airlines. He retired as senior agent in 1987.

He was a former member of the Elks, was a supervisory board member of Town and Country Credit Union and was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in South Portland, ME.

Mr. Bodlovick coached a variety of teams while living in South Portland, ME and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Gorham Country Club, Gorham, ME and Willowdale Country Club, Scarborough, ME and he also, won several golf tournaments, his family said.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta P. (Wing) Bodlovick of Scarborough, ME; two sons, Gregory J. Bodlovick of Portland, ME and Peter A. Bodlovick of Walton, KY; two daughters, Robyn Bodlovick -Wright of Moody, ME and Michelle Bodlovick Fournier of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Lloyd Bodlovick of Stillwater, MN and George Bodlovick of White Bear Lake, MN; a sister, Mrs. Winfred (Hazel) Ulrich of Stillwater, MN and four grandchildren, Michael Young, Lisa Marie Young, Nicholas Bodlovick and Sarah Wright.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Thursday, August 4, 2000, at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland, ME. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, August 5, 2000, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 611 Main Street, South Portland, ME. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland, ME.
