She was a trained nurse and her husband, Frederick A. Brown was an engineer and graduate of Temple University. Their lifelong address was Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. In 1939, their honeymoon was at Niagra Falls.

Ruth (Kauffroth) Brown, 95, wife of the late Frederick A. Brown of Phoenixville, Pa., where she lived most of her life, entered into her final reward on August 7, 2006, in the Parkshouse at Providence Pointe, Upper Providence Township, Pa. Born in Gap, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Rev. George and Lydia (Sensenig) Kauffroth. She was a graduate of the Salisbury High School in Gap and of the former Phoenixville Hospital School of Nursing in 1932. She worked as a nurse for many years at the Phoenixville Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville, the AARP, where she served on several committees as well as a member of the United Methodist Women. Previously she served for many years as a Lay Leader for Bethesda Evangelical United Brethren Church. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Marjorie, wife of Peter Milos, of Phoenixville; one grandaughter, Ruth, wife of Tibor Bakucz; one great-grand son, Ryan Bakucz; one Sister, Susanna Hooper, of Manheim, Pa. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. John A. Kauffroth, and S.M. Kauffroth; and three sisters, S. Dorothy Botdorf, Mary Kline, and Lydia Hanna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the First United Methodist Church, 865 S. Main Street , Phoenixville, Pa. 19465 on Friday morning, August 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard W. Howarth. Burial will be held in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, Pa. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Friday morning at the Church. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to the First United Methodist Church at the above address, or to the Resident Welfare Fund, Parkhouse at Providence Pointe, 1500 Black Rock Road, Royersford, Pa. 19468. The Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, Pa. is in charge of the arrangements.
