Born in Burlington VT on June 28, 1937, son of Charles and Lucienne Campagna Danis he attended schools in North Adams, graduating from the former Holy Family School.
He was a 1956 graduate of Drury High School. He then attended Berkshire Community college, earning a degree in criminal justice.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Danis worked as a patrolman for the North Adams Police Department for 40 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. He was a longtime member of the Norh Adams Commission on Disabilities.
He and his wife the former Donna R. Shaw were married for 45 years.
Besides his wife , h leaves two sons, Aaron Danis of Germantown MC, and Shwn Danis of Adams; three sisters, Bertha Lacourse of Warnersvill PA, Rolande Mahar of Windsor Ct., and Anita Reeves of Chandler AZ; a brother Rene Danis of Spokane WA; three grand children Julia,Andrew and Matthew Danis of Germantown MD; two step-grandchildren Stephanie and Gregery Brown of Adams MA; a nephew John Danaher of North Adams and several other nieces and nephews, and tow daughter-in-law Kathleen and Kathy.
He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Danaher and for brothers, Richard, Roger, Lionel and Robert Danis.
