“Clear Lake, Nov. 1—John Anderson, for the part thirty years a resident of this city, died at his home Saturday morning, after a lingering illness. For years he had been section foreman of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul road and was a man well known and whom everybody respected. He was born in Sweden on Aug. 1. 1853, and came to this county when he was but a boy.
He was a good man and has gone on to a sure reward. He was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church. The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Jensen. He leaves a wife and daughter, Miss Emma, to mourn their loss. Burial was in the Clear Lake cemetery.”
