Leonard J. Badding, 86, Savannah, Missouri, died Monday, October 10, 2011 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home.

He was born February 22, 1925 to Joseph and Ruth (Fox) Badding in Linn County, Iowa.

Leonard married Ida Lee Downing in July of 1943. They shared 68 years of marriage, she survives of the home.

He was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force serving from 1943 to 1945.

He worked for the city of Vinton, Iowa for nineteen years. He retired to be with his family. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruby.

Additional survivors: his daughter, Terrie Smith (Ron), Savannah, Missouri; sister, Sandra Michael (Bernard); brother, Calvin Badding (Gloria); grandson, Christopher Smith; granddaughter, Monica Smith; great-grandson, Keaton Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
