She married John Bennett, 22 November 1852, in Macoupin County where they farmed their entire lives.
BRIGHTON.
Mrs. Martha, wife of John Bennet, died last Friday night, of congestion of the stomach. Though in feeble health for a number of years she has kept up remarkably well until the attack, which she said would be her last sickness. She was patient under her trials and a kind Christian woman. She leaves a large family of children, with relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral took place Monday at the Baptist church, of which she has been a consistent member for many years.
