Mike was born in Columbus, Ohio to William J. and Barbara J. Wilde. He was their third child and oldest son. His siblings are Karen L. Wilde (Warden), Vicki L. Wilde (Carr) and Randall J. Wilde. He was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and play jokes. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1978. Being a military brat, he traveled the world with his parents and sibilings.
