Death at High Point
On the morning of the twenty-second, Mrs. Elizabeth McNair gently passed into her rest. She was born in Philadelphia and moved to Missouri with her husband, thirty years ago. Six children survive her to mourn her loss. Mrs. McNair was much beloved by all who knew her.
It was a delight to know and converse with her. But, more than all she was a Christian, faithful to her duties as a member of the church, and living her life by faith in the Son of God. Her Christian character was tried and developed by many trials, and especially by long suffering from blindness and deafness in her last years. In it all she bore herself with all Christian patience and cheerfulness; so that those that loved could not rejoice when her welfare was ended.
