Arthur W. Fisher 75 of Bay City and formerly of Minden City, passed away Monday Feb. 2 1998 at his residence following a lingering illness.
He was born in Minden City on Jan 8, 1923 to Walter and Susan (Gwisdalla) Fisher. He married Frances (Reinke) McKendry on May 11, 1968 in Ba city. She survives him.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Bay City and retired from Bechtel Construction Co.
He is survived by his wife Frances along with his children: Darlene Burlie and her husband Jerry of Kansas. Kathy Beaver and her husband Rick of Ulby. Jerry Fisher and his wife Mary of Hemlock. Duane Fisher of Auburn. Lennon McKendry and his wife Sharyon of Indiana. Also Sandra foerster and her husband Alan of Bay City. 26 grandchilden and 19 great grandchildren. Along with his sister-in-law Vera Fisher.
He was preceeded in death by his two sons: Kenneth McKendry and Laverne Fisher.
Funeral services were at 1:00pm Thursday Feb. 5, 1998 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Leslie Tyvela and Vicar Steven Brehmer presiding. Burial was in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation was at 1:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesday at Rivertown Funeral Chapel in Kawkalin and 12:00pm untill the time of the services at the church.
Memorials were made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bay City or Heartland Hospice.
