Albert T. "Hap" Ames, Jr., 89, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 2:15 am Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton.

He retired from Funk's Seed Corn Company in Rockville with 34 years of service. He was born January 23, 1928, in Carbon, Jackson Township, Parke County, Indiana to the late Albert T. Ames, Sr. and Miskel Jane Jeffries Ames.

His wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Chowning Ames whom he married May 19, 1951 in Greenwood died on October 14, 2014. Survivors include one sister, Mary Helen Horrall of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews.

He was a 1946 graduate of Bridgeton High School. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Parke Masonic Lodge # 8.

Private graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 21, at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville, with the Rev. Don Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow.
