Brenda Joy Grimsley Crozier 62, passed away today, June 6, 2014 at her residence. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2 PM in the First Baptist Church in Blakely. Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery. Rev. Keith Alderman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 PM and on Monday from 1-2 PM in the Social Hall of the First Baptist Church.
Serving as active pallbearers are; Cary Alderman, Troy Alderman, Brent Alderman, Donald Crozier, Kerry Crozier and Matt Taylor. Honorary pallbearers is the Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Joy was born in Blakely, Ga. February 10, 1952 to the late James Hubbard Grimsley and Lula Mae White Grimsley. She was a secretary for Corner Stone Ins. Agency in Blakely and a member of the First Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Alderman and a brother, James Nick Grimsley.
Joy is survived by her husband, Don Richard Crozier of Blakely; 2 sons; James Richard (Jamey) Crozier and wife Crystal and their two children Mac and Mason Fain of Blakely and by Joshua Arlen Crozier and wife Shelley and their child Paige Hemmingway Crozier of Cumming, Ga. She has a sister, Peggy and Arlen Eubanks of Edison, Ga. and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
