Minnie Allen died at Methodist Hospital in Memphis Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. after breaking her hip in a fall Friday night. She was 85. For the past few years Mrs. Allen had lived here with her son part of each year. She lived with a daughter in Memphis the rest of the time. Mrs. Allen was born and reared in Gibson County. She was the widow of John F. Allen, a Gibson County farmer and carpenter who died in 1923. She was a member of Olive Branch Methodist Church in Gibson County. Services will be at 9:30 Thursday morning at National Funeral Home in Memphis. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gar dens here.
