Wayne Perry Brown, 70, husband of Judy Sarratt Brown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 25, 2013 at his home.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend of many, Wayne was born on May 19, 1942 in Easley in his present home, the home of his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson Brown, Sr. He was a 1960 graduate of Easley High School and a 1969 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 in Germany during the Cold War. Wayne used his management skills to become assistant manager of the Belk Simpson stores in Easley and the McAllister Square store in Greenville. Wayne joined the United Notions of Wallas Texas sales team and became the top salesman of the Eastern division of the company. After retiring in 2004, Wayne continued his sales career in his own used car business and development and sales of his real estate properties.

Wayne was a member and supporter of both the Easley Wesleyan Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Easley where he served in his younger years as chairman of the administration board. He loved his family and friends and was loved greatly by them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey W. Brown (Jan), and John M. Brown, both of Easley; a granddaughter, Lauren A. Brown of Knoxville, TN; a brother John R. Brown, Jr. of Fairplay; and three sisters, Geraldine Lesley (Junior) of Easley, Marcella Southerland (Lawrence) of Anderson, and Virginia Greer (Dorsey) of Easley.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Amelia B. McCall.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Easley, with the Reverend Rodney Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
