Obituary
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Beanna T. Savoie, age 76, the former Beanna Trahan, who passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at 8:20 p.m. at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Musical selections will be provided by Angela Comeaux, her niece.

Mrs. Savoie was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. She had been a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph "C.J." Savoie of Carencro; two sons, Kenneth Savoie and his wife, Kathi, of Houston, TX and Karl Savoie of Carencro; two daughters, Kathy Savoie and her husband, J.R. Touchet, and Karen Forrestier and her husband, Ricky, all of Carencro; ten grandchildren, Mitch Savoie and his fiancé, Katie Burns, Travis Savoie, Blake Forrestier and his wife, Candace, Lacyea Savoie Guilbeaux and her husband, Bennit, Hope Savoie, Dillon Forrestier, Dustin Forrestier, Evan Savoie, Keaton Savoie, and Elliot Savoie; six great grandchildren, Jeston Savoie, Hunter Guilbeaux, Kain Savoie, Presley Forrestier, Lane Guilbeaux, and Jeremiah Forrestier; three brothers, Calvin Trahan and his wife, Liz, Harold Trahan and his wife, Mary, and Leo Trahan, Jr., all of Carencro; and one sister, Helen Trahan Wettaw and her husband, Richard, of Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Trahan, Sr. and the former Eleda Cormier, both natives of Carencro.

Pallbearers were Mitch Savoie, Travis Savoie, Blake Forrestier, Dillon Forrestier, Dustin Forrestier, and Keaton Savoie. Honorary pallbearer was Elliot Savoie and Evan Savoie.
