MRS. JOHN B. ACKLEY
Ethel James, youngest daughter of John T. and Lydia M. James, was born near Overbrook on July 29, 1883 and passed away in Christ's Hospital in Topeka early Thursday morning, January 28, 1932, at the age of 48 years, 5 months and 28 days.
She was married to John B. Ackley. To this union were born two children, Helen Louise and James O.
Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss, six brothers, George of Carbondale; Ellsworth of Brainerd, Minn.; William of Richland; Charley of Burns; Ks., and Henry of Lawrence; three sisters, Mrs. A.W. Parman of Shawnee, Ok., Mrs. Chas. Losh, Carbondale; and Mrs. A.L. Fulkerson, Overbrook, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Ackley had lived most of her married life in Greenwood County, Kansas, having moved to Topeka about eighteen months ago where she has since made her home. She was a devoted mother to her family and a kind friend to all that she knew.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Richland on Saturday afternoon, January 30, and she was laid to rest in the Richland Cemetery.
