Narrative: Journal of Katherine Bresnahan Hofmann
Esther Bell died suddenly of a heart attack this eve [15 January 1971]. Was driving car -- following Frank Jr. in car. After a few blocks he noticed she wasn't following -- turned back and found she had pulled to curb and had "blinking" lights on -- and had moved over away from wheel. He opened door and she was gasping for air -- and whispered "Emergency"-- he jumped in and rushed to Miller Hosp. Priest came from Cathedral -- Gay did not get there in time. She was gone in half his time.
