Obituaries Claribel M. Bucholtz – died Aug. 2, 1996 – Claribel M. Bucholtz, 92, of 1000 E. Tinkham Ave., died at 8:55 p.m. Friday at Baywood Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Claribel Cameron was born July 18, 1904 in Custer and was married to Edward M. Bucholtz who died in 1959.

She lived in Mason County all her life and was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church. She was a former member of Court Ludington 745, Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She was a former employee of the Mason County Health Department and later worked for the Swedish Coffee Pot. She then purchased Tony's Restaurant in Custer and operated it until her retirement in 1969. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Betsy) VonSprecken, and one son, Michael (and Cindy) Bucholtz, all of Ludington, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Mass of the Christian burial for Mrs. Bucholtz will be held at noon Tuesday at St. Simon Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Schichtel celebrant. Interment will be in Pere Marquette Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Alexander-Rye Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. with a scriptures service at 8:15 p.m.
