Elizabeth Heinrich was born in Norka, Saratov, Volga, Russia to Johannes Heinrich (1835-1889) and Anna Margaretha Weitzel (1839-?) both her parents were born and died in Russia. Elizabeth had nine other siblings - five brothers and four sisters.

Elizabeth married Johannes Blum on January 28, 1897 in Norka, Saratov, Volga, Russia and they had four children three sons and a daughter in Russia. Two of the three sons died in infancy in Russia. Surviving were the son Jacob and the daughter Anna Katharina.

Within a couple of months of the birth of her daughter Anna Karathina, The family of four immigrated to America in 1905.

In America Elizabeth and Johannes had two more children, a daughter Bernadine born in Oregon, and a child born in Windsor, Weld County, Colorado but this child died within the first year of life.

Somewhere around 1928 or 1929 Elizabeth and Johannes were divorced or seperated with Johannes moving to Chicago, Illinois and Elizabeth staying in Colorado.

Elizabeth was totally deaf from early childhood and spoke only in German. It is not known whether she was born deaf or became deaf. At age 55 she developed an illness and about 1932 she was placed in an institution in Pueblo.

There is some discrepancies in the year of death as the stone was made up years later. It is uncertain whether it shuould be 1938 or 1939. The cemetery believes 1938 is correct. However, the Western Union documents received by her son Jacob stated 1939.
